I don’t know about you but rarely do I get into a project that does not eventually call for me to take pictures, create graphics or adjust and modify the same. Not being rich and not being a professional in this area (ok, that could be argued) I have elected not to spend the thousands of bucks possible (or the months of learning effort) on high end graphic software. I think over the years I have owned 12 versions of Photoshop Elements and a bunch of indie titles that were a basic waste of time. I don’t think any version of PSE has ever failed to eventually crash. Version 2016 certainly achieved ignomious awards in its miserable effort. And check out the Amazon reviews of 2018.
AT LAST I have found a better (MUCH better) solution and I am SO OVER PSE forever! The answer is to combine ACDSee and GIMP! Hallaleighuughaaa!
ACDSee is the database PSE just wishes it could be – efficient, flexible, and STABLE. It handles network storage without even blinking. It handles my 13,000 photos and video without pause. You would think a big company like Adobe could produce a Windows compatible product and keep up, but years of experience has convinced me – and current reviewers on Amazon – that they can’t. Some think it is purposeful, but I’m not a conspirancy theorist – I think they are just simply incompetent.
OK, there is a little bit of a learning curve, but believe me, it is worth it.
